Looking to improve your existing skills and future job prospects? Don’t let money hold you back…
The Nuclear Industry Benevolent Fund bursary scheme supports those working or considering a career in the UK Nuclear Industry who are struggling financially to support their chosen route. The bursary is wholly funded by TNIBF and will provide one off grants to individuals for education and training opportunities to help them begin or further their professional career in the UK Nuclear Industry.
This bursary will support individuals on programmes of study or training relevant to meeting the future skills demands of the nuclear industry, such as:
- College, Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses
- Apprenticeships and traineeships
- Continued professional development
- Placement, internships and secondments
- Retraining programmes
- Short-term courses
If you wish to apply for a bursary grant, click the link below and complete our online form. Your application will then be considered by the Bursary Committee and we hope to get a decision to you within 3 weeks.
As the content of your application will form the basis of the Committee’s decision, it is essential that the application includes as much information as possible and must therefore include the following:
- details of studies (please ensure that you include relevant/recent evidence of your course/current status, for example confirmation from your university)
- how you believe your studies will impact on your contribution to the UK Nuclear Industry
- your intended career path in the UK Nuclear Industry
- specific detail confirming that you are in financial difficulty
- if successful in being awarded a bursary grant, what this will specifically be used for
Due to the volume of applications and limited funds, if sufficient information isn’t provided in the first instance this may impact the Committee’s decision.
As the remit of the charity is to help those experiencing financial difficulty, as part of the application process you may be required to provide supporting evidence to demonstrate that you are struggling financially (such as a recent bank statement).
If you have any queries regarding completion of the form, please call 01925 633005 and we will be happy to discuss further.
